Support local agriculture and buy direct from Iowa farmers while shopping the Downtown Farmers’ Market – presented by UnityPoint Health – Des Moines. The Downtown Farmers’ Market presents Iowa producers from 51 counties across Iowa, offering fresh fruit, vegetables and so much more. You’ll find fresh herbs, beautiful flowers, farm fresh eggs, local wineries, a delicious assortment of goat cheese, an endless selection of baked goods, and many varieties of Iowa raised meat such as beef, pork, chicken, lamb, buffalo, ostrich, and tilapia.

Coming from the West
Take I-235 East
Take Exit 8B and keep left
Turn right on Third Street
Continue south approximately 1 mile to Court Avenue

Coming from the East
Take I-235 West
Take Exit 8A toward Downtown Des Moines and keep right
Turn left onto Third Street
Continue South approximately 1 mile to Court Avenue

Coming from the South
Take US 69
Turn left on Hartford Ave.
Turn right on SW 2nd St.
Continue north approximately 1 mile to Court Avenue

Parking Ramps
Ramp 3rd and Court
Ramp 5th and Walnut
Ramp 4th and Grand
Science Center Ramp at 4th St. and Market St. (There is a fee to park in this ramp)

Street Parking
All metered parking is free on weekends, recommended street parking on the bridges or around the perimeter of the Market.

Bike Valet
The Bike Valet sponsored by Prairie Meadows allows cyclists to ride their bikes to the Market and park safely while shopping and exploring Downtown Des Moines. This free service is operated by a Bike Collective staff person. Cyclists park their bikes on special racks in the bike corral, which is in a secure, safe area in the parking ramp. In addition to free parking, the Bike Valet also offers an air pump and mini tire changing workshops.
